How students sign up
Tell students to go to www.its-myworld.com and click on the 'Sign up' link underneath the login section. This will open a registration form which your students need to complete with the information below.
Teacher's tip! It's a good idea to print a copy of a blank form and make copies for your students. They can then prepare this information before going online and have a written record which you can keep in case a student forgets their login details. Use this link to open the form in another window which you can print.
1. Personal information: Students enter their first name, last name and country. They can also enter their email address if they have one.
2. School details: They need to enter the name of their school and teacher. They must also enter your its-myworld address in order to register. The default address is the same as your subscriber ID number but you can change this if you wish.
3. Choose your identity: The students now have to enter an ID and password. They will need these whenever they want to use the its-myworld site. Make each student chooses something that they will easily remember.
4. Choose your address: This is the address that people will use to view their home page. All the addresses start with www.its-myworld.com/ but students can add any name or word to complete the address. For example: www.its-myworld.com/felix. If an address already exists, they'll have to use a different address so make sure they prepare some options.
When they have completed the form, students choose the 'Sign up' option at the bottom. They can now enter the site. The very first time they enter the site they will have to accept the 'Conditions of use'. After accepting the Conditions of use, students will see the main its-myworld users page.
