Individual penpal messages

Apart from setting up a penpal exchange with another school, your students can also find individual penpal messages at our its-myworld site. If you have a teacher's subscription to our magazine or Internet sites, all your students have free access to its-myworld.
Follow this link to go to the main penpals page at its-myworld.

Using the penpal service

All the penpal messages at its-teachers and its-myworld are approved before they are displayed at the sites. This can take up to 24 hours.

If you want a class of students to write messages then please use this teacher exchange section to set up a school exchange. Alternatively, get the students to add their messages at its-myworld over several days or weeks so that they do not submit their messages at the same time. Bulk messages from classes that are submitted at the same time will not all be posted at the site.

To help protect your students' privacy their email addresses will only be visible to its-myworld subscribers.

Please make sure that your students are aware of the risks involved in communicating with people over the Internet. They should not include their home addresses or telephone numbers in any messages and should report any inappropriate responses.

If you or your students experience any problems while using this service please let us know so that we can make the site more secure for other users.

If you have any questions about using the penpals section, please contact us.
