Students are taught to speak and write with fluency and accuracy and to aim for good English. We have 8 levels of courses for beginners and adults.
Business English is available on a group course or on a one-to-one basis. Students are prepared for public examinations such as Cambridge First Certificate, the CAE, the CPE, and IELTS.
Sels College is internationally famous for the excellence of its courses and friendliness. Most of our students come through personal recommendations.
The College is Accredited by the British Council.
We emphasise the teacher's input and interaction with the learners. Sels College offers "a balanced fare to their students," said the International Herald Tribune in its survey of British ELT. There is a friendly coffee room and a spacious reading room. We organise social events every week.
Visitors and students immediately notice the warm professional atmosphere of the College. Every student receives personal attention. Sels College prides itself on high academic standards and welfare. Our courses are intended for professional people and adult students, within the age range of 17 to 50, average around 23.
Our method of teaching in small groups of 5 to 9 ensures that the students learn to speak and write naturally for rapid success. Since 1975 Sels College has had an excellent record of teaching English successfully to well over 30, 000 students from most parts of the world. Professor A.C. Malta
Malta Tourism Authority
The Maltese Islands offer 7000 years of history and have been described as one big open-air museum.
A twist of fate and 160 years of history gave the Maltese Islands its legacy of English. That, together with an excellent climate and the option to turn learning into a holiday, make Malta ideal for studying English.
Apart from life in the classroom, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to practise the living language. Malta is one of only a few truly bilingual countries. One’s visit will be a combination of both language learning and a Mediterranean experience.
Enjoy a backdrop of unrivalled weather, stunning scenery and all sorts of activities from sports to cultural tours. All language schools organise extra-curricula programmes to help you make more of your stay by getting to know the country and its people.
English language teaching is well established on the Islands, so schools have a pool of experienced teachers for all age and ability ranges. There are over 40 language schools in Malta and Gozo, each with its own special learning and leisure-time atmosphere and range of courses.
If meeting people and just chatting in English is what you want, then Malta, a meeting place of cultures for thousands of years, is one of the best places to come to.
The relaxed atmosphere is also ideal if you need to learn specifically for work, or to spend several months preparing for an exam. Schools ensure you improve your command of the specific vocabulary and structures you need within the general language context.
Live in as part of a Maltese family, rent an apartment or stay in homely guest houses or five-star hotels. Whatever your choice, you’ll find an all-English-speaking environment in which you can try out your new language skills.

State Univ. of New York at New Paltz
The State University of New York at New Paltz combines several great features for our international guests.
First, our location combines easy access to the excitement of New York City with a safe and beautiful university campus; students can live, work and play in the residence halls but easily visit New York City on weekends via public transportation.
Second, our English program provides a great combination of English learning with activities, trips and parties. Our summer programs (July 7 to Aug. 8) offer classes in specific language skills and cultural lessons, with academic preparation courses available for those who plan to enter university studies either here or at other US schools.
Finally, our school offers both conditional admissions and concurrent enrollment. With conditional admissions, a student may apply without having shown English proficiency; acceptance is made based on academic records only. Students who are accepted and come to New Paltz will be tested for English proficiency upon arrival and placed into full academics, academics plus English, or English only, depending on their level of English. We also offer concurrent enrollment, which enables all of our language students to get the experience of being in a US university classroom. Advanced level students are permitted to take one or two university courses along with their English coursework.
SUNY New Paltz is a university of about 8,000 students, located in the quiet tourist town of New Paltz in the historic and lovely Hudson Valley area, but just 90 minutes from Times Square, New York City. Our university was named the “hottest small state school in the US” by Newsweek magazine this past fall!
The combinations of big city excitement with small city safety and beauty, of English work and cultural studies, and of English work along with university studies makes SUNY New Paltz a great place to be! We hope you will join us for a wonderful experience in the US! [ « hide ] [ show all » ]
